What is EMS DolorClast® Shock Wave Therapy?
EMS DolorClast® is an advanced radial shock wave therapy system used
to support the management of selected musculoskeletal injuries and
persistent pain conditions.
Developed by EMS in Switzerland, DolorClast® technology is used by
chiropractors, physiotherapists, sports physicians, podiatrists and
other musculoskeletal practitioners around the world.
Unlike medication or injections, shock wave therapy delivers
controlled acoustic pressure waves into the treatment area. These
waves create mechanical stimulation within the tissue and may
encourage local circulation, tissue remodelling and natural repair
processes.
Treatment suitability depends on your diagnosis, medical history,
symptoms and recovery goals. Every treatment plan begins with an
appropriate clinical assessment.
How It Works
Controlled acoustic pressure delivered to the treatment area.
The DolorClast® handpiece uses compressed air to accelerate a small
projectile inside the device. The projectile strikes an applicator,
creating radial acoustic waves that travel through the skin into the
targeted tissue.
Compression Phase
The initial pressure wave delivers mechanical stimulation into the
selected tissue.
