About Kate
Kate graduated from Macquarie University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Chiropractic Science and a Master of Chiropractic.
Since graduating, she has gained extensive clinical experience both in Australia and internationally, including working as a chiropractor in Scotland.
Her experience has reinforced her belief that every person presents differently and that treatment should be tailored to the individual, rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach.
Kate enjoys treating people of all ages and a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, with a focus on providing individualised care to help each client achieve their goals. She has a special interest and further training in women’s health, particularly pregnancy, perimenopause, menopause and hypermobility.
Women’s Health
Kate has a particular interest in women’s health and has undertaken further training in this area. Her care considers the changing physical demands that can occur across different stages of life.
Individualised care that considers the physical changes and movement demands that may occur throughout pregnancy.
Supporting movement, strength and physical confidence through a
period of significant change.
A personalised approach focused on maintaining movement, strength,
confidence and an active lifestyle.
Care that considers joint control, stability, movement confidence
and individual physical demands.
Personalised Care
Kate tailors each treatment plan to the individual, taking into consideration their symptoms, lifestyle, goals and what they would like to get back to doing.
Her approach combines hands-on care with education and active rehabilitation, helping clients better understand their bodies and the role they can play in their own recovery.
The aim is to help clients move with greater confidence, build physical capacity and take an active role in maintaining their health beyond the treatment room.
Treatment & Rehabilitation
Depending on the individual, Kate may use a combination of hands-on care, education and active rehabilitation as part of their treatment plan.
Hands-on chiropractic care selected according to the individual’s presentation and needs.
Lower-force approaches, including activator technique and mobilisation, may be used when appropriate.
Shockwave therapy may be incorporated for selected musculoskeletal
and tendon-related presentations where clinically appropriate.
Dry needling may form part of the treatment approach depending on the client’s presentation and treatment plan.
Soft tissue techniques may be combined with chiropractic care and
rehabilitation where appropriate.
Kate places a strong emphasis on helping clients understand their
condition, movement and recovery.
Individual exercises are prescribed according to the client’s physical ability, symptoms and goals.
Active Rehabilitation
Exercise programs can range from simple home-based rehabilitation through to more comprehensive gym-based sessions.
The type and level of exercise prescribed depends on the client’s current capacity, symptoms, lifestyle and what they want to return to.
As movement, strength and confidence improve, rehabilitation can be progressed to better reflect the demands of everyday activity, exercise, work or sport.
Beyond The Clinic
Outside of the clinic, Kate loves spending time with her husband and four boys. She enjoys staying active through running, bushwalking and pickleball, and loves getting away with the family for a camping trip whenever the opportunity arises.
Live Active Chiropractic
Kate provides personalised chiropractic care with a particular interest in women’s health, active rehabilitation and helping clients build confidence in their bodies.
